I’m Sinéad!

I’m a Canadian travel writer and editor based in Ecuador. I write editorial content for reputable brands and publications worldwide.

I’ve been known to trek to rocky peaks above the clouds or celebrate Ecuadorian festivals with a full heart, but I’ve found my purpose writing narrative-driven travel stories about Ecuador and other parts of Latin America. I have a journalism degree from Toronto Metropolitan University, a decade of industry experience, and my work has appeared in Adventure.com, The Daily Beast, The Toronto Star, Business Insider, G Adventures, Intrepid, Cotopaxi, and others.

In 2018, I left behind everything I knew and moved to South America. I lived in Colombia briefly before landing in Cuenca, Ecuador—a quaint city flanked by mountains, with terracotta roofs, rushing rivers, and a celebration for everything. What was originally intended to be a one-year adventure has turned into six (and counting!).

Sinead is a delight to work with. She has a knack for getting to the heart of a personal narrative. For that, I credit her willingness to lean into vulnerability and reflect on the bigger-picture meaning behind her experiences, all while keeping a keen eye tuned to the little things that sometimes mean the most.”
